Toronto Argonauts sign defensive end Shawn Lemon to contract extension

TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts signed defensive end Shawn Lemon to a contract extension through the 2018 season on Thursday.

The East Division all-star was tied for second in the CFL with 14 sacks last season.

Lemon also forced five fumbles, made 23 tackles and had a fumble recovery.

In 63 regular-season games over six CFL seasons, Lemon has 94 tackles, 42 sacks and 17 forced fumbles.

Also Thursday, the Argonauts signed linebackers Trevonti Barber and Terrance Plummer.
