Britney’s Vanguard Award

Britney Spears will receive her second Vanguard Award when she attends GLAAD’s Media Awards on April 12th. She’s being honored for consistently supporting LGBTQ youth on GLAAD’s “Spirit Day” and spreading the message of GLAAD’s anti bullying campaign.

  • Britney is known for organizing meet-and-greets for LGBTQ fans and providing anti-bullying materials to her concertgoers.
  • In 2017 Britney was among 140 other entertainers to speak out in an open letter against two anti-LGBTQ bills.
  • Some other celebs that joined in fighting the bill were Jennifer Lawrence, Ariana Grande, Laverne Cox, and Whoopi Goldberg
