Dr. Gur Singh’s legacy lives on through golf tournament
KAMLOOPS — The Gur Singh Invitational Golf Tournament has continued to gain momentum in Kamloops even after the passing of its founder.
Today, Sep 9, the tournament teed off for a 13th year.
216 golfers packed the Dunes golf course this morning to play a round of golf for a good cause.
The event, named in memoriam of neurosurgeon and tournament founder Dr. Gur Singh, is an annual fundraiser for the Kamloops Brain Injury Association. In its first year the event raised $17,000, but funds have increased year after year, and so have expectations. KBIA now hopes to raise more than $100,000.
