ATV crash claims life of 12 year old girl near 100 Mile House

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Update: A GoFundMe page has identified the deceased girl as 12 year old Zoe Daigle.

According to the GoFundMe page, Zoe was a popular and well-loved student at 108 Mile Elementary School.

The administrator of the page says Zoe “will leave a giant hole in the lives of all who knew and loved her.”

Earlier: Tragedy in the South Cariboo as RCMP say an ATV collision has claimed the life of a 12 year old girl.

It occurred at around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the 5400 block of Upper Houseman Road in Buffalo Creek.

Police say the girl was driving the ATV when it lost control and she was ejected. Tragically, she did not survive.

An investigation involving the 100 Mile House RCMP with assistance from Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services and the BC Coroners Service is underway.

Police say victim services is also working with the Cariboo Chilcotin School District.
