Wolfpack weekend round up

Men’s Volleyball:

Tim Dobbert had 20 kills, leading the TRU WolfPack men’s volleyball team to a five set win over UBC at the TCC last night.

UBC is the defending USPORTS national champion. TRU beat them twice this weekend to move to 3 and 1 on the year.

Women’s Volleyball:

The WolfPack women’s volleyball team lost in straight sets last night to UBC to fall to 1-3 on the year.

Men’s Basketball:

TRU men’s basketball saw their record fall to 1 and 1 as they were beaten 83-72 by host Fraser Valley. Mike Rouault had 19 points for the Pack.

Women’s Basketball:

The TRU women’s basketball team were swept by host Fraser Valley as the Canada West regular season began. Saturday, it was 58-44. Jordon Haggarty had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Thompson Rivers.

Baseball:

The WolfPack baseball team finished fourth at College Nationals in Toronto. They blew a 4-0 lead and fell to Fanshawe College of Ontario.

TRU is now finished its fall season

Cross Country:

The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack cross country team was in Abbotsford for the BC Cross Country championships this weekend.

In the men’s 10K race, Calum Carrigan led the way, with 42nd place in 25.03. After Carringan, Troy Morgan was 57th in a time of 26.08. Sam Dyck finished 66th at 26.37. Liam McGrath wound up 69th at 26.53. Etienne Lavigne wound up 77th in a time of 27.15, with Jasper Martin winding up 78th at 27.18.

On the women’s side, in the 8K, Zoe Painter wound up 43rd in a time of 31.27. Erika Johnson was 51st in a time of 33.54, which was one place better than Brooklyn Higgs who crossed the line in a time of 36.03.
