KAMLOOPS —  Three youths involved in a BB gun shooting incident in Brocklehurst yesterday have all been charged with assault with a weapon.

The incident took place during the noon hour yesterday off the school grounds of the Brock Middle School on Windbreak Street.

In a news release, Staff Sergeant Robert Daly says the Middle School was placed in lock down until police were able to resolve the incident peacefully.

Daly says the three youths were released in the custody of their guardians, but one of them was re-arrested for breaching his conditiions within hours of his release. He’s now in custody pending a court appearance this morning.

The victim in the attack was taken to Royal Inland hospital and treated for minor injuries before being released.
