An excavator was used to lift the tractor off of the man, and paramedics worked to revive him but he succumbed to his injuries.

RCMP are investigating.

EARLIER: Kamloops RCMP confirm they have been called to what sounds like a terrible accident in the Cherry Creek area.

Emergency services were called to Beaton Road near the Trans Canada Highway, for a report of a farm tractor that had rolled over, trapping its operator.

Police said it was too soon to say how seriously the man was injured.
