KATY PERRY PURCHASES $7 MILLION MANSION AS A GUEST HOUSE: Katy Perry owns a $19 million five-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills, but TMZ reports singer has just plunked down millions more for a whole other house – just for her guests. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home for Katy’s friends and family has 4,400 square feet and a pool area. It’s located in the gated community where Katy’s main house is located. The asking price on the home is $7.5 million and TMZ claims she paid “close to that.”
BTS ‘SAVE ME’ MUSIC VIDEO PASSES 300M VIEWS ON YOUTUBE: South Korean boy band BTS had another music video pass 300 million views on YouTube. The K-pop group’s agency, Big Hit Entertainment, confirmed BTS reached the milestone Wednesday with their video for “Save Me.” “Save Me” appears on BTS’ compilation album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever. The album also includes the singles “Epilogue: Young Forever” and “Fire.” “Save Me” is BTS’ seventh music video to pass 300 million views on YouTube, the greatest number of any South Korean act. The group’s video for their “Mic Drop” remix reached 300 million views in July. BTS last released the album Love Yourself: Answer in August. The group is promoting the album on a worldwide tour. In addition, Steve Aoki released a new single, “Waste It On Me,” featuring BTS last week.
‘THE VOICE’ CONTESTANT BEVERLY MCCLELLAN PASSES AWAY FROM CANCER: Beverly McClellan, a former contestant on The Voice, has passed away at the age of 49. McClellan passed away after battling cancer on Tuesday, her close friend and music partner, Robyn Fear, confirmed. She was surrounded by loved ones and her partner Monique at the time of her death. Beverly was the third runner-up on the first season of The Voice and was part of Christina Aguilera’s team. The television show shared its condolences on Instagram. “The only thing greater than Beverly McClellan’s voice was her heart,” the post read.
IMAGINE DRAGONS SHARES NEW SONG ‘MACHINE’: Imagine Dragons is revealing more of their Origins album. Dan Reynolds and company have dropped a new song called “Machine,” which you can download now via digital outlets. The track appears on the band’s upcoming new album, Origins, the so-called “sister album” to their 2017 smash LP, Evolve. “Machine” is the third track to be released from Origins, following the single “Natural” and the track “Zero.” You can also hear “Zero” in the upcoming Wreck-It Ralph sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet. Origins arrives on November 9th.
