KAMLOOPS — There are over 460 wildfires burning in B.C. – including 76 in the Kamloops Fire Centre.

Fire information officer Nicole Bennett says there were three new fire starts today.

“Most of the 76 are burning in the Okanagan corridor and northeastern portion of the Vernon Fire Zone.”

She says the largest fire in the region continues to be the Snowy Mountain wildfire just south of Keremeos at just over 12,000 hectares.
