Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Date Night

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took time out of their crazy wedding planning schedules to hit the town for hip-hop musical Hamilton. The pair took in Lin Manuel Miranda‘s Tony-winnig show in London at the Victoria Palace Theatre.

Leslie Garcia Bowman, who plays a general in the West End production, tweeted that it “was an honor to have Prince Harry and Meghan” in the audience.

  • Markle and her BFF Priyanka Chopra already took in the play in NYC in 2016. The show tells the story of Alexander Hamilton and the founding fathers of America, and just happens to poke fun at Harry’s ancestor George III.
  • This theater outing followed a week of public outings, including a joint visit to Edinburgh, and Harry’s appearance at an environmental meeting and to serve kids lunch at a sports club on Thursday.
  • And in preparation for the big day (May 19th!) Markle is getting into the royal routine with a official aide who will help her organize her royal schedule. Former Kensington Palace press officer Amy Pickerell has taken the gig.
  • Meanwhile, in other royal news, Kate Middleton continues to get loudly defended and dragged for wearing a dark green dress to the BAFTAs, instead of donning a black gown in deference to the Time’s Up movement against sexual assault, as many celebrities did. According to TMZ, Kate was unable to switch her dress at the last minute for a black one as she is so far along in her pregnancy.
