KAMLOOPS — Along with an increase scheduled to take effect in September 2017, Kamloops Transit will be getting some upgrades in the new year; including real time tracking and improved safety measures for bus riders.

Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Todd Stone was on hand at the Ord Road transit garage this afternoon to make the official announcement. Kamloops Transit was part of a pilot project for the security camera program, which is now being rolled out province-wide, to make buses safer for passengers, and operators.
