Coquihalla open following semi-truck fire

KAMLOOPS – Updated at 12:15am. The highway is now open northbound. 

EARLIER: The Coquihalla highway is closed as of 10pm Monday December 21 due to a semi truck fire.

Traffic is not moving between Hope and Merritt (Northbound). 

Drive BC indicates the highway could re-open between 12:30am and 1am Tuesday December 22.

Motorists can detour on highway 1, the Trans-Canada.

At this point it is unknown if there are any injuries.
