PIT Stop offers rib feast for those in Kamloops who can’t take part in RibFest
KAMLOOPS — By the Sunday night of Ribfest weekend, many Kamloopsians have had their fill of BBQ’d ribs. But for many marginalized people in the city, heading down to Riverside Park to eat that mouthwatering BBQ might not be an option – which is why the Pit Stop program at the United Church has been organizing a special meal for their guests on the Sunday of Rib Fest for the past three years.
There’s nothing quite like a big ol’ feed of BBQ’d ribs, especially when it comes with all the fixins’;it’s also no secret that the food down at RibFest isn’t affordable for every member of our Kamloops community, which is why the PIT Stop program holds their annual Rib Feast dinner on the Sunday evening of Rib Fest weekend.
