Angelina Jolie‘s team has denied reports of her split from powerful divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, but tongues have been wagging about her recent aggressive tactics in her battle against estranged husband Brad Pitt. The Maleficent actress recently brought on other attorneys with formidable reputations for playing tough in Hollywood divorce wars.
Last week, Jolie accused Pitt of failing to provide “meaningful child support” for their brood of six since their split in 2016.
In her legal filing, Jolie asked “Brad to pay 50 percent of the children’s expenses,” claiming he “has not” paid his share.
Pitt fired back, saying he’d loaned her $8 million for a home and shelled out $1.3 million for her and the kids. After his statement, Jolie’s new lawyer Samantha Bley DeDean said: “A loan is not … child support, and to represent it as such is misleading and inaccurate.”
