KAMLOOPS — CounterAttack operations in the Kamloops area this month have taken a total of 38 impaired drivers off the road.

New numbers from Kamloops RCMP show 16 of those drivers were issued 90 day Immediate Roadside Prohibitions, and another 15 received three day IRPs.

Cst. Jason Epp says officers will be out for the next two weeks and longer, conducting road checks.

“CounterAttack is going to be in full swing right until the end of December – that’s merely the CounterAttack with our traffic services,” said Epp, adding “we’ve got every additional resource out there. All of our general duty members are always diligent and looking to get those impaired drivers off the road, and keep the public safe.”
