Record-breaking temperatures fail to materialize in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — It’s certainly been hot this week in Kamloops, but not hot enough to break any records.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Doug Lundquist says the closest we came was on Tuesday.
“It was 30.5 degrees yesterday in Kamloops and the old record was 31.1 in 1924. So, we didn’t quite make it. If we went to the whole degree it would have been a tie but we go to the tenth so it wasn’t quite there.”
He notes it’s highly unlikely we’ll be breaking any records today (Wednesday) considering the record is 35.1 degrees set in 2006 and we’re expected to hit a high of 29.
