Sia makes rare public appearance without wig

Sia, 42, stepped out without her iconic wig at Netflix’s Ozark Tastemakers Event in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

She wore a simple black outfit with her natural blonde hair in loose waves as she mingled with Jason Bateman, her look in far contrast to her go-to black and blonde blunt bob.

Sia likes to hide her face behind her infamous wigs. And there is a reason she so secretive about her appearance.

“If anyone besides famous people knew what it was like to be a famous person, they would never want to be famous,” Sia wrote in Billboard in 2013.

Essentially, Sia wants to make great music, but she also wants to be able to go where she wants without being swarmed by fans or paparazzi.

There is another reason for the cover-up – during an appearance on Good Morning America, Sia shared that one of the reasons she wears the wig that masks her face is because she gets serious stage fright. “I do not love performing,” she admitted on the morning show. “I get really scared.”
