New wildfire sparks evacuation north of Canim Lake

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — The Cariboo Regional District has issued an evacuation order due to a new wildfire discovery north of Canim Lake.
Discovered yesterday near Gotchen Lake, the wildfire was sparked by lightning and quickly grew to 65 hectares.
The CRD’s evacuation order affects one large property surrounding the lake, with evacuees urged to make their way to 100 Mile House.
