CW BOSS RESPONDS TO CHARMED REBOOT HATERS: Charmed is coming back, like it or not! The CW‘s Charmed reboot will star Macy (Madeline Mantock), Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery), and the original stars-and fans-are not necessarily happy. “Here’s the thing. Until you ask us to rewrite it like Brad Kern did weekly don’t even think of capitalizing on our hard work. Charmed belongs to the 4 of us, our vast amount of writers, crews and predominantly the fans. FYI you will not fool them by owning a title/stamp. So bye,” original star Holly Marie Combs tweeted in January 2018. But CW president Mark Pedowitz tells fans during a press call that he just wants them to give it a shot. “Hopefully they would give this new cast a chance. It is not quite the same, yet there are many similarities. Hopefully they’ll give it a shot. We are happy with who we cast, we think it’s a nice mix. We’re thrilled that Jennie Snyder Urman has reimagined it somewhat and I can only say to fans: Before you make a decision, watch the series.” The reboot, like the original, follows sisters dealing with the aftermath of their mother’s death. Charmed airs Sundays this fall paired with Supergirl on The CW. (E!– Click our Twitter or Facebook buttons to share this link!)

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS SHOWRUNNER EXITS FOLLOWING MISCONDUCT CLAIMS: Six months after misconduct allegations surfaced around NCIS: New Orleans chief Brad Kern, CBS has replaced him as showrunner. Chris Silber has been elevated to the role from executive producer. Kern will remain on board as a consultant. “We were aware of these allegations when they took place in 2016, and took them very seriously,” CBS said in a December statement. “Both complaints were acted upon immediately with investigations and subsequent disciplinary action. While we were not able to corroborate all of the allegations, we took this action to address behavior and management style, and have received no further complaints since this was implemented.”
