Big Bang Theory Ending

The cast of The Big Bang Theory is as sad as fans are that the show’s ending. Except, perhaps, for Jim Parsons?

Entertainment Weekly reports that Parsons was the one who wanted to leave, prompting CBS, Warner Bros. TV and Chuck Lorre Productions to announce the conclusion of the show (after 12 seasons and 279 episodes, a record for a multi-cam comedy) in May of 2019.

Parsons won four Emmys and one Golden Globe for his role. Parsons and original stars Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar reportedly earn nearly $1 million an episode. Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch joined the show and reportedly make a bit less.

Cuoco was one of the first to speak out on the show’s ending.
