Argos defensive back Rico Murray getting different Labour Day look
TORONTO — Labour Day is going to look much different to Rico Murray.
The veteran defensive back will make his first appearance at Tim Hortons Field on Monday night when the Toronto Argonauts visit arch-rival Hamilton. Murray spent his first four CFL seasons with the Tiger-Cats, appearing in 50 regular-season games.
“The biggest difference is the colours I’ll be wearing but the mentality will be the same,” Murray said. “There will be some mixed feelings once I get out there on the field, it will be my first game back in that stadium but it will come and it will go and then it’s back to football.
“The way I feel about the individuals that are with that franchise, that doesn’t change. Football is what we do but I understand the men they have and they understand who I am. Football is one thing but who they are and who I am as a man, there’s no question about that.”
