AVRIL LAVIGNE DATING SON OF TEXAS BILLIONAIRE: Avril Lavigne is reportedly dating the son of a Texas billionaire. The 33-year-old singer has been quietly seeing investment heir Phillip Sarofim for the past two to three months, according to E! News. Sources said Lavigne and Sarofim started dating after meeting through friends at a dinner party. The couple reportedly split their time between each other’s respective homes. Lavigne and Sarofim were first linked in April when the singer and Sarofim grabbed coffee together in Los Angeles. Sarofim is the son of Coptic American businessman Fayez Sarofim, the heir to the Sarofim family fortune. Fayez is a fund manager for several Dreyfus family stock funds, an original shareholder of Kinder Morgan and part owner of the NFL team Houston Texans. Sarofim was previously married to Lori Krohn, while Lavigne was wed to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. Lavigne was last linked to music producer J.R. Rotem in the fall.

KATY PERRY SAYS SHE’S ‘NOT SINGLE’ AMID DATING RUMORS: Katy Perry says she’s no longer single. The 33-year-old singer confirmed she’s taken during the American Idol finale Monday following reports she’s back together with Orlando Bloom. Perry was speaking to television personality Becca Kufrin when she commented on her relationship status. She joked about becoming a contestant in Kufrin’s upcoming season of The Bachelorette. “Can I be in the running?” Perry asked. “I’m not single, but I still like you.” Perry and Bloom appeared to rekindle their romance in the spring after splitting in February 2017 after a year of dating.

AVICII’S FAMILY RELEASES STATEMENT ABOUT FUNERAL PLANS: The family of Avicii has released a statement on their plans to lay the DJ to rest. “There have been many inquiries regarding the funeral arrangements for Tim Bergling, known by music fans as Avicii. The Bergling family has now confirmed that the funeral will be private, in the presence of the people who were closest to Tim. They kindly ask media to respect this. There is no additional information forthcoming,” the family said in a statement. Avicii’s body was found in his hotel room in Oman on April 20th with authorities ruling out foul play and his family indicating that the cause of death was suicide. He was 28.
