Greene Raine to be inducted into Canadian Tourism Hall of Fame
SUN PEAKS — Canada’s female athlete of the 20th century, Nancy Greene Raine will be inducted into the Canadian Tourism Hall of Fame next week (November 27-28) at the 2018 Tourism Congress in Gatineau, Quebec.
Currently the Director of Skiing at Sun Peaks Resort, Greene Raine’s prior achievements including her gold medal performance at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, her Canadian record of 13 World Cup victories, and her induction as a member of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.
In a release, Vice President and General Manager at Sun Peaks Resort, Darcy Alexander spoke highly of the contribution Greene Raine has made in shaping the area’s tourism sector.
