Of course i have my insecurities and struggles but that’s just one part of me. Sometimes the positive side of a story doesn’t always get fully told and I wish it had here. I love what i do and i love you guys so much

Shawn Mendes is speaking candidly about his former relationship with Hailey Baldwin – now Hailey Bieber after her marriage to Justin Bieber.
In a Rolling Stone cover story, the profile of the 20-year-old entertainer said, “he acknowledges they were more than friends, but he’s still reluctant to call it a relationship.” “I don’t even wanna put a title on it. I think it was more of a zone of limbo,” he said.
Shawn added, “I get it, you know. I texted Hailey, ‘Congratulations,’ and I really am happy for [their marriage]. She’s still one of the f*cking coolest people ever – she’s not just a beautiful person visually, but she’s one of the most beautiful hearts I’ve ever met. I think I’m an idiot to not, you know…But you can’t control your heart.”
Meanwhile, rumors that Shawn is gay have been swirling for years, even though he’s denied it and told fans that it shouldn’t matter even if he were. In the interview, he said he freaked out after he allowed his friend Taylor Swift to post a photo of them together which was taken after Taylor put her glittery makeup on his face.” “I felt sick,” he admits. “I was like, ‘F**k, why did I let her post that?’ I just fed the fire that I’m terrified of.” But now, Shawn says he’s glad he allowed Taylor to post the shot. “Maybe I am a little more feminine – but that’s the way it is,” he says. “That’s why I am me.”
