No charges after cyclist hit near Cinnamon Ridge

KAMLOOPS — Police say a 69 year old cyclist who was hit by a vehicle yesterday is going to be okay.

The crash happened at about 1:45, along Tranquille Road near Cinnamon Ridge.

Corporal Jodi Shelkie says the man’s injuries were serious, but aren’t expected to threaten his life.

Shelkie says no charges against the driver are anticipated, and that’s because it appears the cyclist may have been at fault.

“At this time there is nothing to indicate any fault on the part of the driver of the SUV,” stated Shelkie.
