Cardi B has had a phenomenal year — and Entertainment Weekly thinks so to! The rap star is among the publications Entertainer of the year list. Other celebs that made the list include: the women of Crazy Rich Asians, Darren Criss, the women of Black Panther, Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Donald Glover and more.

Cardi — who snagged the cover of the magazine, opened up about how nervous she was leading up to the April release of her debut album Invasion of Privacy. She said, “The whole week passing I was going crazy. Just overthinking, like, ‘Am I going to sell? Am I going to do good? I hope I do good.’”

The album is now certified double platinum.

Cardi said that her “best memory” of the past year was giving birth to her daughter Kulture Kiari in July. Professional, her favorite moment was performing “I Like It” at the American Music Awards in October. She recalled the moment, saying, “It was my first big performance on television after giving birth, and I just wanted people to see that I’m working my ass off. The rehearsals were long days and I had bruises on my body, but it came out so perfect. It was worth it.”

Meanwhile, it has been announced that the Bronx rapper is set to perform at the AVN awards aka the “Oscars of Porn” next year. She said, “I’m so excited that the AVN Awards chose me to be their first female performer ever! I can’t wait!”

OFFSET SPEAKS ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH CARDI B

In other news, Cardi’s husband opened up about their relationship. In an interview with The New York Times, the Migos rapper said that he is inspired by his wife. He explained, “I’d seen her potential, her vision, her grind. Whatever she does, she’s going to master it. She’s like me. She brings excitement and pressure to me, but I like that.”

He added, “She’s No. 1, so every time I’m hitting the charts, I’ve got to be Top 10. We haven’t even dropped an album yet. That’s a whole other realm.”

He added that settling down was “the best thing that’s happened.” He added, “I have a wife and a child-that changed my whole everything. I was a young hothead, but now I understand the value of life.”
