“We had 12 teams [of volunteers] on Friday night, only 11 teams on Saturday night, but they managed to do 121 rides on Saturday night and 67 on Friday,” Guglielmini said. “We gave 188 rides this weekend, which is fantastic.”

To ensure more people get home safe, Operation Red Nose is looking for more volunteers.

“The more volunteers that we have, the more rides we can give,” Guglielmini said. “Next Friday and Saturday, we’re looking at 11 or 12 teams… but we’re expecting it to be even busier, with more calls. People start calling at 8:00, right on the dot.”
