WolfPack prey on Pronghorns
KAMLOOPS — It wasn’t the effort WolfPack Men’s Soccer Head Coach John Antulov envisioned for his team Sunday against the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns, but it was still enough for a convincing victory, as TRU defeated the visitors 3-1.
“We were getting a lot of opportunities in the first half. I thought we could have been a lot sharper,” Antulov said, after the game.
Thompson Rivers University fired 17 shots at the U of L goal in the opening 45, yet were only able to score once in the first half. Their lone goal came in the 27th minute when James Fraser snuck behind the Lethbridge defenders and volleyed home a corner kick.
Fraser tallied again for TRU in the second half, as he gained control of the ball off a free kick and was able to bury from six yards out.
