Daybreak Rotary Christmas PIT Stop dinner ready to feed hundreds
KAMLOOPS — The annual PIT Stop Christmas dinner kicks off this afternoon at the Kamloops United Church.
Lynda McKenzie of Kamloops Daybreak Rotary says they expect to be feeding around 400 people today.
“So we’ve been doing it a while,” She explains, “Our club does it 4 times a year, but we love the Christmas one because Santa comes, and we have gift bags to give out, and we do up a big meal.”
Rotary crews came in on Friday to start the cooking for the meal, tackling 300 lbs of potatoes, 200 lbs of carrots, homemade dressing, and 30 turkeys.
