KAMLOOPS — A former Kamloops man charged in connection to a nearly year-long investigation ending in a business raid last week will remain behind bars — for now.

Court documents show 35-year-old Cameron Cole appeared for a bail hearing today (Dec. 10), but he’s been remanded into custody and will appear for a fixed-date hearing in one week.

Cole is facing 12 charges in connection to the investigation, and police say he turned himself in to Kamloops RCMP the evening of Dec. 7. Cole now lives in St. Albert, Alberta.

Last week, police executed a search warrant in a unit at 1485 Lorne St. East downtown. Potential explosive devices — which were determined to be benign — were found during the raid.

This investigation into Cole and his co-accused began last January, when officers attended a home on Badger Drive in Dallas for a report of a home invasion. After entering the home, RCMP found evidence of criminal activity and obtained a search warrant.

Several firearms, bomb-making materials, a quantity of cash and narcotics were found during the search.

The 62-year-old Patrick is also facing charges but has not yet been located by police.

If you see Patrick do not approach them and call RCMP or 911. If you know the whereabouts of him call RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
