Kamloops enjoying warmer, drier weather

KAMLOOPS — If you’re feeling like it’s been warmer and drier than normal so far this month in Kamloops, you are correct.

In fact, Environment Canada says over the past month temperatures have been about 3.7 degrees above average.

“Which is really quite extroardinary,” says meteorologist Doug Lundquist. “In the last 30 days, there were only maybe two or three days there at the beginning of December where we were below average.”

He attributes the seasonally balmy temperatures to an unusually strong ridge of high pressure and warm air flow down from Hawaii.
