SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. — Heavy rainfall caused a flash flood in parts of Swift Current on Saturday leaving some homes in the southwest Saskatchewan city with flooded basements.
Images on social media showed some vehicles in water that reached their bumpers.
One person posted video on Twitter showing vehicles plowing through streets that were flooded.
RCMP told CTV that storm drains in the city overflowed and couldn’t keep up with the heavy rain.
The RCMP say some Swift Current residents reported flooded basements.
