NOTRE-DAME-DE-LAUS, Que. — Quebec provincial police are investigating a double homicide after the discovery of two females in a home 250 kilometres northwest of Montreal.

Sgt. Marc Tessier says a man turned himself in to officers at police headquarters in Gatineau in western Quebec early Monday morning.

Police said he asked officers to go to a residence in Notre-Dame-de-Laus, the town where the man lives.

“I can tell you that the suspect did know the victims, but the next of kin have not been notified,” Tessier said.
