Kanye West’s Twitter Attacks

This past weekend, Kanye West continued his Twitter takeover — this time responding to Ariana Grande for her comments during his rant towards Drake. As previously reported, the rapper called out Drake on Twitter, saying that “God’s Plan” rapper threatened him. Grande took to Twitter to comment on the beef, saying, “guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y’all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that’d be so sick thank u.”

Kanye responded, “I know Ariana said this to be cool and didn’t mean no harm but I don’t like even slightest level of slight commentary from someone I know loves and respects me.”

He continued, “All of this foolishness weighed on my mental health so @ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song.”

Ariana responded, “with all due respect, i don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. period. i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.” She added, “last thing. stop weaponizing mental health. everyone.”

Ariana’s ex-fiance Pete Davidson took to Instagram to applaud Kanye for speaking up about mental health. He tweeted, “Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health.I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye.”

He then threw a jab at Ariana, saying, “No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health.” He added, “I’m seriously disgusted.”

He later wrote, “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. i’m doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all i’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember i told you so.” He then deleted his account.

Hours later, he appeared in two skits on SNL. NYPD officers later performed a “wellness check” on Davidson. He later wrote on IG, “I just want you guys to know. No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t. I’m upset I even have to say this.”

CELEB SUPPORT

NBC has not commented on the matter. Several celebrities, including Jon Cryer, Machine Gun Kelly and Jada Pinkett Smith posted messages of support to him on Instagram. Ariana went to the SNL studios to make sure he was ok. She tweeted, “I really didn’t mean any harm. all i want everyone to be healthy and happy. so desperately. please. my god.” She added, “I’m downstairs and I’m not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything. I know u have everyone u need and that’s not me but I’m here too.

Michael Rapaport, meanwhile, apologized after posting several tweets that mocked both Davidson and Kanye West. “Didn’t realize Pete Davidson posted an actual genuinely scary IG note,” he admitted. “Had no clue. Was not informed of all of those details. Would never mock someone when they’re truly down. Sincerely. I thought this was all the daily normal gossip of the day & was doing my daily take.”
