SAM SMITH DROPS ‘FIRE ON FIRE’: Sam Smith is back with new music. After recently wrapping his The Thrill of It All Tour, the 26-year-old singer just released his new song “Fire On Fire.” The song will be featured on the upcoming mini-series adaptation of the book Watership Down – which will be available for streaming on Netflix on December 23rd.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK’S JOEY MCINTYRE TO STAR IN ‘WAITRESS’ ON BROADWAY: Joey McIntyre is joining the cast Waitress on Broadway in the role of Dr. Pomatter, starting on February 5th and running through April 7th. “We love Joey as a New Kid on the Block and know that he has ‘The Right Stuff’ to be a brilliant Dr. Pomatter,” producer Barry Weissler said. Waitress marks Joey’s return to Broadway after playing Fiyero in Wicked from 2004 to 2005. Sara Bareilles will return to Waitress in the lead role of Jenna from January 7th to February 3rd. Sara wrote the music for the show and has played Jenna multiple times before.

MAROON 5 TAPS TRAVIS SCOTT FOR SUPER BOWL 2019 HALFTIME SHOW: Maroon 5 has reportedly finally found a performer to join them for the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show: Travis Scott, TMZ reports. There were rumors that Maroon 5 was having trouble booking other entertainers for the show. They’re also reportedly in talks with Cardi B and Outkast’s Big Boi to also perform. The publication is also reporting that Scott’s girlfriend Kylie Jenner and their daughter Stormi will be in attendance. While the NFL still has not confirmed that Maroon 5 even has the job, Adam Levine said he was “still formulating a lot of things” when recently asked. The Super Bowl will air live from Atlanta on February 3rd. More than 75,000 people have signed a Change.org petition asking Maroon 5 to back out of the event to support Colin Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback who started the #TakeAKnee movement to protest racial injustices.
