Kamloops kids get artistic at Children’s Arts Festival
KAMLOOPS — For almost two decades, the Children’s Arts Festival has been exposing kids to art – from performance and music to visual arts and crafts, the event is a popular one for families – and it’s always been free.
The 18th annual Children’s Arts Festival took place on Friday and Saturday down at Riverside Park. The theme of this years event was Superheroes and featured all kinds of caped crusaders helping kids learn about the different forms of art that are out there. The emcee for the event was Glamour Girl. She and her crime-fighting, stage-managing partner say the fact the event is free means so many kids from the community get a special look at the arts community.
