B.C. Transit buses is Kamloops to be equipped with new tracking technology
KELOWNA, B.C. — New funding has been announced for BC Transit projects.
Premier Christy Clark made the announcement in Kelowna this morning (July 19).
“We are the first province in the country to sign a bilateral agreement with the federal government to support transit, and that means about $160 million in new investment in transit outside the Lower Mainland,” says Clark.
Clark says the funding will be used for new facilities, buses and technologies that will improve safety for passengers and drivers, and make the system more convenient and efficient.
