The car is described as looking like a mid-2000s Dodge Neon SX 2.0 four-door sedan, silver or grey in colour.

Shelkie says investigators are certain this is the car that was involved.

“Just from surveillance cameras in the area, we have the victim just before it arrives, and then that’s the only vehicle that comes down the road at that time,” said Shelkie.

“Definitely, [the driver] would have known that they hit something, and we believe that they should have known that they hit a person,” added Shelkie. “It was the regular street lighting at that time of night.”
