Fatal pedestrian incident on the weekend was a hit and run: RCMP
KAMLOOPS — It’s been two days since a fatal crash in downtown Kamloops, and police are now saying the incident was a hit and run.
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says police are asking for the public’s help after a 48-year-old Kamloops man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Seymour Street.
On Oct. 20 at 1:40 a.m., a taxi driver called police to report he had come across a man injured and lying on Seymour Street near the BCLC building. Soon after, police arrived and an ambulance was requested.
Life-saving measures were taken, Shelkie says, but the man succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
