KAMLOOPS — RCMP rushed to Springview Place in Upper Sahali this morning after being told of a potential firearm scare.
In a news release, Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says officers were called to a home in the 1700-block of Springview Place, where they were told a person was having a mental health episode, and may have had access to a gun.
The initial response happened at about 10:00 a.m., and Shelkie says it was peacefully resolved at about 10:40 a.m., with the subject coming out of the home and now receiving medical help.
Shelkie thanks nearby residents for their patience as police had Springview Place shut down during the incident.
