4th annual Nicholas Run for Youth Mental Health returns to Pioneer Park
KAMLOOPS — The fourth annual Nicholas Run for Youth Mental Health will take over Pioneer Park on Saturday (Nov 7) in Kamloops. The run is held in honour of Nicholas Zhou, who died at 19 years old after struggling with depression.
Last year the run, featuring more than 300 participants was able to raise over $15,000 for mental health initiatives. This year the bulk of the money raised will be used to support Foundry Kamloops.
“I wish the service was available when my son was struggling and I wanted to support that cause,” said Rie Takahashi, Nicholas’ Mother. “Most of the funds will go to the Foundry and then other education funds and all the other community funding as well.”
