Road repairs taking place on portion of Summit Drive following water main break

KAMLOOPS — A heads up for Kamloops drivers who make their way through Lower and Upper Sahali on their commutes.

The City of Kamloops says repair work will take place on Summit Drive Tuesday (Oct. 27) following a water main leak the previous day.

In a post to social media, the city says the northbound lanes of Summit Drive will be closed from Notre Dame Drive to the Tudor Village plaza. Southbound lanes will remain open as northbound traffic is detoured on to Notre Dame.

The city says crews responded to a water main break near 1375 Summit Dr. as early as 2:50 p.m. Monday. Water service was restored at around 6:15 a.m.

Repair works are expected to be complete by 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.
