Fleetwood Mac Documentary Gets Official Title And Release Date

Fleetwood Mac’s first fully authorized documentary now has a title and premiere date. Fleetwood Mac: The Chain will debut on Apple TV+ on January 29, 2027, timed to the 50th anniversary of the band’s landmark album Rumours. Directed by five-time Oscar nominee Frank Marshall, the film covers the band’s history from when Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined on New Year’s Eve 1974 to the present. It features unseen footage and new interviews with core members. The title references the only Fleetwood Mac song crediting all five members, including the late Christine McVie. “Next year should be a pretty interesting year,” Buckingham said last August, hinting at further developments.
