Daisy Ridley To Star In ‘Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea’ Reboot

Daisy Ridley is set to star in and executive produce Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, an eight-episode series ordered by Paramount+. Ridley plays Lee Crane, a commander pulled into a classified government program after her twin sister dies during an Arctic expedition. Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman will write and executive produce, with WandaVision director Matt Shakman also aboard as director and executive producer. The original franchise began as a 1961 film before becoming a TV series running from 1964 to 1968. Ridley is best known for her role in the Star Wars trilogy. No premiere date has been announced.
