MLA CANDIDATE ISSUE #2 — Reducing the record deficit
KAMLOOPS — B.C. parties have provided costed platforms, with both major parties in British Columbia pledging to reduce the record-high deficit but through different means.
Candidates running in the two Kamloops ridings were asked, “What is your party’s plan to deal with the province’s increasing deficit and return B.C. to balanced books, while also working to improve the cost of living challenges facing residents?”
OneBC is pledging, if elected, to cut taxes in every bracket by 25 per cent, while also cutting two per cent off the current PST, in an attempt to bring more business to the province.
