Selma Blair pleaded not guilty Monday to two assault charges following an incident aboard a Delta flight from Los Angeles. Blair allegedly injured two flight attendants and attempted to open the plane’s door mid-flight. Her attorney, Shawn Barnes, told Queens Criminal Court the incident was not intentional, citing Blair’s multiple sclerosis diagnosis and missed doses of medication that “controls severe neurological symptoms.” A criminal complaint states Blair kicked a Port Authority officer repeatedly in the face, neck, and chest, and later kicked a nurse in the chest at Jamaica Hospital. Blair’s bail was set at $20,000 cash or $60,000 bond. The FBI is also investigating.
