Missing elderly woman found dead in Kamloops: KSAR

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) says an elderly woman who was last seen around noon on Wednesday (Oct. 7) in Brocklehurst has been found dead, though details remain limited.

In a statement, KSAR said it was called in by the RCMP around 2:00 a.m. Thursday to help search for the woman. Eleven KSAR members responded along with two members from Shuswap Search and Rescue.

“The woman was located deceased by one of the SAR teams,” KSAR said. “[Our] members assisted with the recovery and subsequently handed the scene over to the BC Coroners Service.”

“We extend our sincerest condolences to the woman’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
