Oct 9, 2026 | 6:14 PM

KAMLOOPS — Elections BC has published a list of where people can vote in this month’s provincial election, and people who have already made up their mind can cast their ballot prior to advance polls getting underway next week.

Kamloops residents can vote at one of two district electoral offices in Kamloops – at the Kamloops Centre office in the lower level of the Lansdowne Village Shopping Centre at 110-450 Lansdowne St. or the Kamloops-North Thompson Office at 101-780 Windsor Ave. in the Cooper Centre.

The Fraser-Nicola office is at 1976 Quilchena Ave. in Merritt, the Cariboo-Chilcotin office is at 510 Broadway Ave N in Williams Lake, and the Salmon Arm-Shuswap office is at 103-351 Hudson Ave NE in Salmon Arm.

Ballots can be cast at any district election office in the province, and a full list of all 93 offices can be found here. These officers are open between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and and between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Offices are closed on Sundays and statutory holidays.

Advance voting runs between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Oct. 16 to Oct. 21, though not all polling places are open every day.

“You don’t need a special reason to vote at advance voting – it’s an option for all eligible voters,” Elections BC said. “Voters can vote at any advance voting place in the province, and all advance voting places are wheelchair accessible.”

Elections BC says all registered voters will be sent a ‘Where to Vote’ card in the mail prior to advance voting.

“Your Where to Vote card lists your assigned voting place on Final Voting Day and advance voting options in your electoral district,” Elections BC said. “You can use your Where to Vote card as one of two pieces of voter ID, but you don’t need it to vote.”

“Voters have an assigned voting place on Final Voting Day, but you can vote at another voting place if it’s more convenient to you.”

Voters are required to be Canadian citizens at least 18-years-old on election day, and have been a resident of B.C. since April 23, 2026. More information about identification requirements can be found here.
