It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Patrick Trainor at the remarkable age of 97.
Lloyd grew up in Saskatchewan, where the values that would define him throughout his life took root. He was an incredibly hardworking man, but those who knew him will remember him just as much for his kindness, empathy, and the genuine care he showed to the people around him.
Lloyd was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, who predeceased him. Together, they built a life and family that meant everything to him. He was the proud father of four sons and a much-loved grandfather to two grandchildren. His family was an important part of his life, and the love, lessons, and memories he leaves behind will continue through them.
To his family, Lloyd was so much more than can ever be captured in a few paragraphs. His long life was filled with hard work, love, resilience, and countless memories shared with those fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A mass will be held on October 7 at 7:00 p.m., with the funeral service on October 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish.
Lloyd leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, hard work, and love—a legacy his family will carry with them always.
May he now be reunited in peace with his beloved wife.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Parish in Lloyd’s memory.
You may offer a message of condolence at Schoening Funeral Service for the Trainor family.
