October 14, 1944 – October 1, 2026 

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Morley Brown, known to family and friends as Bill, on October 1, 2026, at the age of 81. 

Bill was born in Ashcroft, B.C., on October 14, 1944, as one of three triplets. He is survived by his triplet sisters, Darlene and Marlene, his children Butch, Ivan, Arlene, Cera and Kelsey Brown, and his grandchildren Saranne and Zoee Brown. Bill is also lovingly remembered by his partner of 23 years, Hilary Skene, her children Ryan (Alice) and Samantha (Fernando), and her grandson Brayden. They were an important part of Bill’s life for many years, sharing memories and time together as family. 

Bill spent most of his career at Adams Lake Sawmill. Retirement never meant sitting still for him. He continued doing home maintenance and working at Pine Ridge Golf & Country Club in Kamloops, right up until 10 days before his passing. He enjoyed getting out of the house and always having something to do. 

In his younger years, Bill raced cars and coached hockey. Throughout his life, he loved golfing, watching football, tending his garden and dancing. 

We will remember him doing the things he loved and will deeply miss the time we shared with him. 

A celebration of Bill’s life is planned for the spring. Details will be shared at a later date.
