Justin Timberlake Jokingly Apologizes For His Beatboxing Phase
Justin Timberlake has playfully addressed his early-2000s beatboxing habit after a viral Instagram video brought it back into conversation. Creator Hannah Young joked that Timberlake would randomly break into beatboxing mid-song during his *NSYNC and early solo years — and nobody questioned it. Timberlake jumped into the comments, writing, “I don’t know how to apologize enough for whatever those ambitions were. Too many boots. Too many cats. I hope you can forgive me.” He added one warning: “I can’t promise I won’t do it again. God help us all.” Beatboxing was actually central to his music — Timbaland famously beatboxed the foundation of “Cry Me a River” before the two built the track. Across his solo career, Timberlake has earned 39 Billboard Hot 100 entries and five No. 1 hits.
